Hold the phone dumpling-lovers—the food-combining legends at Drumplings have just introduced three new flavours, and we know you’ll be a fan.
The new additions were chosen with us (I mean, their customers) in mind and the flavours they believed would spark fond memories and a sense of nostalgia. And they’ve hit the nail on the head.
The new fillings are staples of the Aussie diet (before kale and quinoa were cool), with one reminiscent of a pepperoni pizza, another filled with mac and cheese, and of course, an Aussie beef pie variation. I can feel my inner-child screaming with happiness already.
Imagine the spice of pepperoni in a rich tomato-y sauce with a melty combo of different cheeses and you’ve got, arguably, one of the best pizza toppings wrapped in a soft parcel of dumpling dough. We didn’t know we needed this, but we’re definitely glad it’s here.
The mac and cheese dump speaks for itself—I mean, who doesn’t love cheese and pasta? It’s the same creamy and indulgent weeknight staple from your childhood, only it’s now packaged neatly inside folds of dough for your eating pleasure. Thank you Drumplings.
Last but not least comes a variation on our national dish. Drumplings has taken the classic Aussie beef pie and has somehow made it that much better (it’s definitely because they’re bite-sized). We’re talking locally sourced grass-fed beef with spring peas.
If you’re after something a little more traditional, Drumplings has got your back with classic options like a Xiao Long Bao and a Chive Har Gow as well. But if you’re like us you’ll be ordering everything off the menu.
All the new additions are available at their Bourke St store now. We’ll see you in the queue.
